Welcome to Primary One.

Mrs Rooney's Class.

We are ready to learn and have fun in P.1.

Look how well we have settled into life in Primary One....and having lots of fun in the process.

I.C.T in P.1.

We love exploring I-Pads in P.1. We have created lovely pictures of Nursery Rhyme characters using the app I-Sparkle.  We think they are FAB!!

We are exploring Colours in P.1 and bringing in from home things for our interest table.  We have already had Red, Blue, Green and this week's colour of the week is Yellow.

We enjoyed an Autumn walk in Tollymore.

We were very lucky to explore Tollymore Forest Park looking for signs of Autumn.  We found lots of Autumn leaves that had fallen from the trees and they were all different colours.  We also found helicopters seeds on the ground. 

We had a great day in Tollymore.

Run, Run, as fast as you can...

We had a real treat as Mrs White came into P.1. to bake Gingerbreadmen for us.  She showed us how to mix together the ingredients and how to decorate the Gingerbreadman with yummy icing.  They tasted delicious.

We are Mad about Maths in P.1.

In P.1 we engage in lots of fun ways to learn our numbers to 10.  We love when we get to work together or as a class.  It's always lots of fun!

As part of our Houses and Homes topic, we took a little walk around the local area to see all the different houses.

Yummy Pancakes in P.1.

We got a special treat when we went to the school kitchen and Jackie showed us how to make pancakes step by step.
